The FDOT Intermediate Work Zone Safety course is required for anyone who designs, sets up, or supervises a work zone on a state road or highway. Traffic control fundamentals are required, as is flagging procedures and a knowledge of signs and other traffic control devices. MTI is a provider for this course. Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control - FDOT Provider #099

This 16 hour course is approved by the Florida Department of Transportation. The purpose is to train personnel who may be required to work or direct others to work within the street and hihway right-of-way in the proper methods and techniques of work zone traffic control. Topics include: general procedures & terms - covers Procedure No. 625-010-010c, traffic channeling & control devices, typical design standards, traffic control zone problem solving, and flagger (traffic controller) operations.

Fees: $275 per person. CEUs: 1.6
